Admin Assistant
for Borderlines in the Villages project

Part Time: Immediate start to June 2012, rate £9 per hour
Flexi: Available for festival work with no other work commitments

The Film Festival
Borderlines Film Festival is the UK’s largest rural film festival and the biggest in Central England. We screen films across Herefordshire and Shropshire in pubs, independent cinemas and village halls in the Flicks in the Sticks network giving people the opportunity to discover the best of cinema from all over the world right on their doorstep.

Borderlines in the Villages
The Festival currently has a more intensive programme of events in Herefordshire villages thanks to part funding from the European Union (EAFRD) and Defra through the VITAL Herefordshire LEADER programme. This special programme of events will help to raise the profile of Herefordshire as a destination for cultural tourism and we will work closely with village promoters and local businesses. May Festival dates for 2012 are 4th May to 20th May.

Job Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic, capable and self-motivated individual to join the Festival team and help with administration and distribution. The successful candidate must have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, work well under pressure, have experience of office administration and software particularly Word, Excel and MailMerge and importantly previous festival experience.

The ability to work independently to tight deadlines is imperative. Candidates must also be free to start work immediately and be fully available for Festival work as required.

The successful candidate will work remotely from their own home and attend meetings as required.

To undertake the work candidates will need a home office with broadband connection and own transport for distribution around the county. The Admin Assistant will report to the Executive Director, Naomi Vera-Sanso.
